EDC Expands Business Parks To Aid Recruitment
Product development and capital Improvements in Gaston County continued with the acquisition of 34.5 acres adjacent to Gastonia Technology Park and the planned re-alignment of the park’s interior roadway. The addition of this property, managed by the Gaston County EDC, results in more than 70 acres of developable property in the park, located off US 321 North. Also in 2009 the EDC initiated the design of the final phase of South Ridge Parkway in Bessemer City, including 54 acres acquired in 2008. Planned construction will include 2,400 linear feet of roadway, plus water-sewer extensions.
